We were fortunate to have three of the amazing team members of Salt Flats Brewing sit down with us for episode 141. Scott Parker, master brewer, told us that his one thing that he would tell someone to do while visiting Utah is of course drink Salt Flats Beer! Scott told us it is awe-inspiring rolling into the valley and mountains just pop up. You are 20 minutes away from amazing hiking, biking, and skiing and it’s just right in front of you.

Utah’s One Thing: Denver Brady, Salt Flats Brewing

Since we started our show in 2016, we have been asking our guests at the end of every New Utah interview, “What is the one thing that you would tell someone visiting Utah they had to do before leaving?”

Denver Brady, who is directing sales, at Salt Flat Brewing also joined us for episode 141! Denver told us when we asked what the one thing someone visiting Utah would be, “Utah is vast. There are 1000 things in my mind.” She said that she lived by the Appalachian mountains and commented that “those are hills.” Denver thinks the Rocky Mountain range is unlike anything else. We would like to add, there are plenty opportunities to enjoy our mountain ranges from hiking, camping, biking, fishing, etc. Utah.com and Alltrails.com have some great resources for Utah’s mountains.

Utah’s One Thing: Sheri Gibb, Clever Octopus

Also joining us in episode 138 was Sheri Gibb of Clever Octopus. Sheri told us that the one thing someone visiting Utah must do is visit our National Parks. She said her favorite hidden gem is Bryce Canyon in the winter. Sheri said that every season is pretty glorious but winter is magical. Tips for Family Trips have some great advice for visiting the canyon in the winter. Jen Lopez, from Clever Octopus, joined us for episode 138. When we asked Jen what her one thing she would tell someone visiting Utah would be, Jen told us, “we have some of the coolest state parks in the country.” Jen’s favorite is Goblin Valley. With thousands of hoodoo’s, this area of Utah was created from an erosion-resistant layer of rock atop relatively softer sandstone.

Nothing touches the mountains in Utah.” Did you know there are 80 mountain ranges in Utah? According to VisitUtah.com 85% of Utah’s residents live within 15 miles of the Wasatch Mountains!
