Episode 220 Karen Conventions

Standard

In this exciting episode 220 of The New Utah Podcast, our lovely and talented producer Jessica was off chasing the stars. Literally.

We had longtime friend of the show and guest co-host, Holly Gates-Rohde, join us in studio to fill in for producer Jess.

In this laid-back episode, we talked about SUU’s Graduation having a total lack of social distancing. Bre almost gets into a fight with a Karen but everyone came back home alive. A hawk tries to kill Jeremy’s chickens and Holly chastises Chris for wishing she had the Covid’s.

We discuss local bands ‘Neon Trees’, and ‘I Don’t Know How But They Found Me’, and some of their upcoming album releases. Please support our small local venues in any way you can.

We find out that Utah has tainted onions that have given people food poisoning. Utah also provides the US with a good portion of medical helicopter pilots, thanks to the program at SUU.

Our big discussion was about Back-to-School safety precautions that are being taken to protect teachers and students from contracting the Rona. Unfortunately, Utah county has enough Karen’s fighting against mask mandates for their school-aged children that they could create a full convention. Fall collegiate sports have been put on hold, and the dead horse is beaten to smithereens about wearing masks.

To end on a happy note, Chris lists the 5 least visited places in Utah that should be a must see for any Utah tourist. You can read the list from KSL by clicking HERE.
