We always love being joined by other local podcasters! Episode 224 we had JC Carter of the LEFT show podcast and World’s Greatest Comic Book podcast join us! We have had a plethora of people join our show over 4 years and JC might have been the first to cover such a diverse range of talents! He wears many hats; podcaster, actor, director, author, sifu, and all around swell dude. (we gave him the last hat)
JC took us through his life journey and how all of those hats were made. Currently JC has been working on his first comic book! He launched a kick-starter, which exceeded its goal, for Shaolin Nun to get the first prints going. This comic book is a one of a kind gem. Described by JC as, The Legend of Kung Fu meets the Women’s March. Featuring Mei Yin, she is a warrior nun from a secret Shaolin order. An order dedicated to training women to fight back against the world of men. Here is the first page of the comic for you!
It was really incredible to hear how passionate JC was about the artist that he was able to work with, as well as others, over the years. Greg in the Bronx is the artist that has gone on the Shaolin Nun journey with him. Now we wait with JC for the artists to finish their work and for the first edition to come to fruition.
