Episode 262 – Coochie Bags

Standard

This week’s write-up is by yours truly (aka Julia).  We open up the episode by talking about pride month and announcing that the farmer’s markets start this weekend.  Jeremy recounts his law chair building experience and reads us the poorly translated instruction manual from Harbor Freight. Julia has some embarrassing stories from her trip to Vegas- where she was not, in fact, celebrating her birthday.

We were met this week by Ogden’s Legacy Tattoo artist Sarah Arave.  Sarah is a born-and-raised Utahn from the little city of Eden.  Sarah used to take the bus to the nearest school every day, and it was 45 minutes each way.

Sarah began to disfigure people at the ripe age of 16 when her parents let her buy a stick and poke kit from Amazon.  Some of her first tattoos were on her siblings (and she has to look at them for the rest of her life).

Sarah is about to graduate with a bachelor’s degree from Weber State University, and plans to continue her tattoo career until retirement.  We discuss the possibility of Chris getting a crucified space Jesus tattooed across his chest (Jeremy insists his nipples need to be the nails on the cross).  Sarah also goes into detail about ween tattoos and how they are applied in the underground tunnels of 25th street.
