Standard

Since we started our show in 2016, we have been asking our guests at the end of every New Utah interview, “What is the one thing that you would tell someone visiting Utah they had to do before leaving?”

Dr. Doug Henstrom told us in episode 118 that there are just so many amazing things in Utah to do. Dr. Henstrom is a little biased with his football background and told us that the one thing someone visiting Utah should do before leaving is go to a BYU football game.

He said besides the setting that by far, the atmosphere is absolute tops!

Since we started our show in 2016, we have been asking our guests at the end of every New Utah interview, “What is the one thing that you would tell someone visiting Utah they had to do before leaving?”

Episode 126 we had the honor of sitting down with Derek Kitchen, Senator for District 2. Derek had a great list of things that he would tell someone visiting Utah that they must do before leaving! Derek’s first item would be to visit Utah’s cultural arts. He said to visit the Granary Row district mural program. Derek said you have to visit Utah’s Brewery’s (the link is just a handful of breweries that exist in Utah) and partake in some of Utah’s own cocktails. Also, head over to Temple Square and visit Space Jesus… aka the Christus statue of Jesus in the visitor center. But we most definitely prefer Space Jesus.

Jeff said to check out the craft brewing scene in Utah. He also said go to church. As in go to the Tabernacle at Temple Square and check out the flowers in the spring or the lights in the winter. Jeff said that Salt Lake City is to the Mormon church like Rome is to the Vatican. We think he has a point. We also love putting brewing and the LDS church SLC temple grounds in the same entry!
