Episode 78 we had “no regerts” with local Utah tattoo artist Sam Goodwin of Murder Crows Tattoo in North Sale Lake! Sam said that his one thing someone should do before leaving Utah is to go to Temple Square… of course. Then he told us that he and his wife love to hike. We loved his suggestion of finding a trail that goes some where! You know, a lake, a river, just something at the end to enjoy! Utah.com always has great lists and their hiking list will get you all over Utah. Click HERE to find more info or click on the picture.

Standard

At the end of every New Utah interview we like to ask our guests, “What is the one thing that you would tell someone visiting Utah they had to do before leaving?”

Previously we were joined by Jen of Mountain West Cider in episode 18 but this time, for episode 63, we were able to ask Jeff the other owner of Mountain West Cider what his one thing someone visiting Utah should do! Jeff said to check out the craft brewing scene in Utah. He also said go to church. As in go to the Tabernacle at Temple Square and check out the flowers in the spring or the lights in the winter. Jeff said that Salt Lake City is to the Mormon church like Rome is to the Vatican. We think he has a point. We also love putting brewing and the LDS church SLC temple grounds in the same entry!

We did a list on episode 58 about the Brewery on the ByWay from the Salt Lake Tribune that has many of Salt Lake City’s brewers locations in downtown Salt Lake.

We were super excited to finally be joined by the busiest man on the planet for episode 57. We actually didn’t think there was anyone busier than our own Jessica, til we met Richie Steadman! Richie had two things that people must do before leaving Utah. Richie said that if you’re visiting Utah, take time to talk to someone who is LDS (aka Mormon) because it will give a better understanding of the culture. He also said head south and hike the Narrows in Zion and the Delicate Arch.

Utah’s One Thing: Stephen Hatch, Hatch Family Chocolates

Standard

At the end of every New Utah interview we like to ask our guests, “What is the one thing that you would tell someone visiting Utah they had to do before leaving?”

Of Course besides visiting his chocolate shop in the Avenues… Stephen Hatch, of Hatch Family Chocolates and Your Cre8tivity Podcast, said in episode 54 he is tired of people that think Utah is boring. He loves our locally owned restaurants and said to head to Garage on Beck! Southern Food and live music. There is nothing possibly wrong with that. Also learn that not everyone fits a stereotype and so there is something for everyone.
